Hi everyone, I'm Kristi and I used to be the moderator on the old Horse Talk forum on hiway16 - I would really like to thank Caitlin for setting this up!! I much prefer the old forum style to the FB style - this is awesome! I live in Burns Lake, and my main riding focus is reining. I currently have one horse "Katie" (Jacs Katie Rose) who has been bred for to Lokota Chic for a March 2013 foal. I'm super busy these days (aren't we all? LOL) with a day job at the Regional District office and the President's position in the Tweedsmuir Cavaliers Saddle Club, an all discipline local level club here in Burns Lake. We have a website at tcsaddleclub.webs.com which you are also welcome to check out. And of course, the new FB page for Horse Talk is at www.facebook.com/groups/326709130799626/ Hope to see many more old friends on here! ~ Kristi

Thanks ladies for joining!, I missed the forum all Summer while I was working, it used to keep me in touch with everything lol.
If the forum becomes popular I'll be upgrading the package so the domain name is easier to remember.

Thanks Caitlin. Although an infrequent visitor to the old site, felt lost when I was looking for information and there it was...GONE! I'm Tom and my wife is a horse-aholic. We're near Rose Lake and what started as a single horse for our daughter, grew to 5 and is now 4 (Bourbon, Oscar, Penny, and Jewel) after we recently had to put our son's horse (Samara)down due to age/cancer. Our daughter has gone off to school and she was not only the main reason for horses to start with, she was also the one with time to work them. We're kind of at that decision point... 4 horses at various stages of ride-ability, not enough time to spend with them, but not quite ready to part with them. As much as I grumble about the time and expense, I think I'd miss the nickers and nudges if they went. Besides, what would I do with my free time if I didn't have to replace chewn fence rails, haul hay, etc.

Hi guys it's me Deanna from Houston So glad you got the new forum up and running I was shocked to see the old one gone. Plenty of useful knowledge on there. Anyway good to see things going again. We just acquired a AWESOME horse for our daughter Marli this year, from Karen Ritchie, she is fantastic. Marli has gotten quite the boost of confidence that she needed. Can't wait for Spring. my girl will be 20 in June, but she still acts like she's 5, big butt Who knows maybe she will get passed to hubby, and I can start shopping again.
