Hi everyone,
It is often difficult to tell who has the rights to use which images on the Internet. However, when a photo says "proof" in large letters across it, it is almost certainly proof that the person posting it should not be.
Proofs are typically labeled as such when they are offered for sale. Therefore, using a proof without paying for the photo is essentially stealing it. For the sake of the many equine photographers among us who work hard to capture the horses we love, and for the sake of doing the right thing, please don't post photo proofs. If you've purchased an image from a photographer, please wait until you have the non-proof version of the image before posting it.
Posts containing photo proofs are subject to removal and repeated violations may result in restricted access to the BC Horse Forum.
Thanks, The BC Horse Forum team.
