So I thought I'd make a little topic on how to make the best out of forum with helpful tips, I know computers are sometime difficult to figure out!
So lets start with Creating a thread or replying to messages!
I think for the most part when it comes to "Fonts, sizes, color, underlining, bold and italic" are commonly used so I wont bother with any of that.
If you look to the far right you'll see the yellow smiley faces, clicking on this will allow you to insert a smile into your conversation.
To the right of that is the "Quote" button this allows you to mention a pervious comment made, if you want to refer to a comment, on the comment made, click on "quote" this will then bring you to a reply page with the quote already on your form and you can direct your comment to the comment!
Here is a sample of how it will look.
Hey, my name is Caitlin, formally known as SandenBrook on the old Hiway16 forum..
I live in Willow River, just outside Prince George..
My husband and I recently bought two new filly, Chloe joined us in March, and her half sister Farrah just joined us.
[C] box is for code inserting this is only good if you have a Photobucket account and would like to add code links for posting videos and/or photos.
Little person with @ symbol - You can add a forum member to your post.
Right of that is for inserting a video which can be added with a URL: Best used with youtube.com
Next to that is a photo insert again with a URL: you can get these codes with Photobucket.com also at the top right corner you'll see "Add attachment" this will allow you to upload a photo right from your computer, instead of using an out source.
The envelope with arrow, allows you to post your email address and keep it some what private.
Back to the top right corner, you'll see "Add Event" where you can add an event like a poker ride that you know of and it will show up in the forum calendar making it easy for people planning events to see what's coming up!..
"Add Poll" allows users to asking a question and have peoples opinion counted up for them, "like what color halter would look good on my horse!"
List the colors on the poll which you are trying to compare and let your friends tell you the most popular. Poll also comes in handy during contest!.
