So my husband and I are buying a new horse, she'll be arriving here Thursday.. We've been debating if we should change her barn name.. I kind of like it, it's something you don't hear often, but on the other hand I don't know whether people would find it offensive or not, say if we take her to a show..
Anyways do you think the name "Tramp" is offensive and should be changed or leave it alone people will think what they want?

A tramp is a wanderer or a way of walking, as in "The tramp jumped the next train cart out of town" or "I went tramping thro the snow" "I tramped down a patch of grass until it was flat" as well as the type of tramp you are thinking of. Even if it only had the one meaning I still don't feel it is the least bit offensive. Tramp from 'Lady and the Tramp' was named tramp as in wanderer I expect.
