So my husband and I are buying a new horse, she'll be arriving here Thursday.. We've been debating if we should change her barn name.. I kind of like it, it's something you don't hear often, but on the other hand I don't know whether people would find it offensive or not, say if we take her to a show.. Anyways do you think the name "Tramp" is offensive and should be changed or leave it alone people will think what they want?

Tramp is not offensive at all. A tramp is a wanderer or a way of walking, as in "The tramp jumped the next train cart out of town" or "I went tramping thro the snow" "I tramped down a patch of grass until it was flat" as well as the type of tramp you are thinking of. Even if it only had the one meaning I still don't feel it is the least bit offensive. Tramp from 'Lady and the Tramp' was named tramp as in wanderer I expect.

Those are some good points Bully, Guess in Today's world I just assume people would look to the worse when they hear it and get offensive you see so much of it on Facebook and other forums where something can be said in a completely innocent way and someone will blow it up with drama! Tramp it will stay!
