I have an AQHA mare that I am considering breeding to an APHA stallion. As far as I am aware, there is no 1/2 AQHA registery, is there one for APHA? I am wondering if this foal can be registered. Being in this area, it's important to me that I can show the baby in the breed shows aside from the reining shows.

If you breed a AQHA to a APHA the foal can be registered with APHA. Least that's what I've always known, you can register them doesn't matter if there coloured or not, if there solid they'll be classified as a breeding stock paint, but AQHA wont register them not unless the stud is double registered.
Avery my paint filly, wasn't suppose to be a paint, her mom was sent to Randy to be bred with Jac Bar Pepper, and while she was there to be bred she some how got into the pen with a different stud, and no one knew she took to him til she was born and she came out colourful lol, so it did take a bit to get her registered since the stud report Randy filled out was with the AQHA stud so he had to do some paper work and once that was all completed they had no problem registering her, and her mom was registered with AQHA.
Hope that helps.
